Protests continue against anti-Islam movie today

Protest demonstrations continued in the country on sacrilegious film as Tehrik-e-Minhaj ul Qura'an held a rally from Rawalpindi to Islamabad. 

Heavy contingents of police were deployed at D Chowk to avoid any untoward incident. The police plugged road to the parliament with containters at D Chowk.

Allama Tahirul Qadri in telephonic address to the rally called the blasphemous movie an attack the Islamic world, inter-faith harmony and the world peace. "It is United States' responsibility to stop the movie," he said. 

A protest rally organized by Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan marched from Firdaus Market to Lahore Press Club. The participants of the rally demanded stern punishment against the blasphemous filmmaker. 

Jamat-ud-Dawa also held protest demonstration in Lahore. The participants chanted slogans against United States. 

The Hindu community of Chaman observed shutterdown to protest against the blasphemous movie. The minority community also held a protest rally. 

In Quetta students staged a demonstration, while in Larkana the workers of Jamiat Mashaikh Ahle Sunnat Pakistan protested against sacrilegious movie at Qila Chowk of the city.
