Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Sindh United Party have agreed on electoral alliance for the upcoming elections on Thursday.
Nawaz Sharif and SUP leader Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah signed a five-point agreement for their political alliance in the next general elections.
The PML-N chief on the occasion said that if President Asif Ali Zardari implemented charter of democracy (COD) he would be with him. He said that ruling country was not game of chidren, added that, if country runs like this then its future would be dark.
He said that Pakistan could not bear any martial law, and PML-N would not support any unconstitutional move because there was no space for any unconstitutional act.
Sharif further said that the country has not been allowed to run according to constitution since 1947. He vowed to protect the agreement of 1991.
The PML-N chief went on to say that no one would be allowed to divide Sindh.
The former prime minister said that Chief Jusitce had said that there were terrorist wings in political parties in Karachi. He added that government has failed to eliminate terrorism despite it has received list of terrorists.
Sharif said that in Sindh police recruitment were made on political basis, whereas in Punjab recruitment were made on merit.
Chief of SUP Shah said that there was need of political power for the bright future of Pakistan. He said that the agreement between both the parties could become a milestone for provincial autonomy.
Shah said that land mafia system being imposed in Sindh under new local bodies system.
