Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif terming doctors' strike illegal said that there could be dialogue only over the legal demands.
Talking to media at his camp office at Pakistan Day monument Lahore Shahbaz called doctor's profession sacred adding that the doctors are abusing the sacred professional.
He said that the doctors' salary in Punjab is double than that in other provinces. The salary of the members of provincial cabinet was reduced while the salary of doctors, para-medical staff and nurses were raised substantially, he added.
The meeting of 21 departments at the Tent Camp Office Presided by Shahbaz Sharif was briefed that preparations are made to tackle dengue while 116 master trainers trained in Thailand have imparted training to hundreds of other people.
Asking the business community, religious scholars and civil society to join the dengue awareness campaign Shahbaz said that every private hospital would have to have a dedicated dengue ward and the maximum fee for dengue test would be Rs 90.
