Nomination of new prime minister has created political bustle over the issue of the nomination of new prime minister ahead of six month of general elections.

At the one hand political parties are sitting together in Islamabad, at the same time they are contacting other parties parties.

Five contestants have jumped into the race to fill the gape of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. But Pakistan People's Party was still in curiosity regarding the final nomination of his candidate.

Earlier, Makhddoom Shahabuddin was hot favourite, but Qamar Zaman Kaira's lunch with President Asif Ali Zardari increased suspense in the game.

At the same time Raja Pervez Ashraf is also being declared favourite to replace Yousuf Raza Gilani. Coalition partners are focusing on their consultation meeting to discuss the current political situation.

At the one hand, MQM leaders met under the chair of Farooq Sattar, while at the other hand Haji Adeel led Awami National Party meeting to discuss the issue.

President Asif Ali Zardari also held a meeting with MQM leaders and took them into confidence over the issue on prime minister nomination.

Inclusion of Maulana Fazlur Rehman in the premiership has made the game more interested. Maulana first reached the residence of PML-Q leadership, and later made a telephonic contact with MQM and PPP-Sherpao leadership.

PML-N raised the fear of PPP by saying that JUI-F could join PML-N. The PML-N leadership has made it clear that if Mehtab Abbasi has become a prime minister, he would announce general election with immediate effect, and adress the serious issue of loadshedding and implementation of judicial verdicts.
