Pakistan People’s Party and its coalition partners in the National Assembly gave power to President Asif Ali Zardari for the nomination of new new prime minister.
It was decided in a meeting led by President Asif Ali Zardai held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday.
Representatives from Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, Mutahidda Qaumi Movement and Awami National Party participated the crucial meeting.
Presidential Spokesman said that PPP would announce the name of nominated candidate tomorrow at eleven in the morning. Khursheed Shah would announce the name of PPP nominated candidate for premiership, the spokesman added.
Besides, PPP candidates, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Jamiat Ulmae Islam also include in the race of premiership.
National Assembly session has already been summoned on Friday evening to nominate a new prime minister after the Supreme Court on Tuesday disqualified former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in a contempt of court case.
