PM directs legislation over missing persons case

 Presiding over a high-level meeting over the law and order situation in Balochistan on Saturday, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said said legislation would be made for the recovery of the missing persons of the province.

The meeting also decided to ban issuance of new permits for transport corridors passing through Balochistan.


The prime minister is expected to start a visit of Quetta from Sunday.

It also ordered a crackdown against illegal and unregistered vehicles in the province and directed the provincial government to immediately cancel temporary permits issued to owners of such vehicles.

Law-enforcement agencies including Frontier Constabulary have been directed to implement the directives of the meeting without any delay.
