Fire erupted at a private hospital's basement near Kala Pul in Karachi.
Electric short circuit caused fire at a private medical centre in Mehmoodabad locality of Karachi. Scores of persons were trapped in the smoke-filled building during the blaze.
Rescue officials smashed windows to evacuate patients as the fire reached the second floor of the building. Several people inside the hospital fainted due to the smoke.
The fire tenders and a snarkle reached to the spot and extinguished the fire. The rescuers broke windowpanes of the second and third floor of the building to take the people out.
