\ Islamabad and Rawalpindi received rainfall coupled with gusty winds on Saturday morning bringing the temperatures down considerably. The heavy showers also inundated low-lying areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The heavy rains also suspended all flights from Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
Peshawar also received light rainfall as the met department forecast rain in upper and central parts of Pakistan.
Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Hazara, Kohat divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit and Baltistan.
The weather in most areas of the country was hot and humid however, Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara division and Kashmir received rainfal as Balakot received maximum 49 milimeters rain.
Sayedpur area of Islamabad has received 91 mm rain so far.
