Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Pakistan with traditional fervor, zest and reverence.
Ulemas delivered sermons to faithful who thronged to Eidgahs and mosques to offer Eid prayers. They stressed and prayed for the unity of Muslim Ummah and prayers be held for the prosperity and well being of the country.
The largest Eid Congregation in Islamabad was held at Faisal Mosque.
In Karachi, the Eid namaz were offered at hundreds of open places including the Eidgahs, mosques, parks and open places in the city.
The main Eid congregation was held at the Old Polo Ground where the Sindh Governor, Dr\. Ishartul Ebad Khan, will offer Eid prayers alongwith notables, members of the diplomatic corps from the Islamic countries.
All important public and private buildings, including shopping centres, have been decorated and illuminated.
Hundreds of thousands of believers thronged mosques and Eidgahs to offer Eid prayers at hundreds of places in Lahore.
As usual, the biggest Eid congregation in the city was held at the historic Badshahi mosque where Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa offered prayers.
Eid prayers were also be held at Data Darbar, Masjid Shuhada, Masjid Wazir Khan, Jamia Mosque, Tehrik Minhaj-u-Quran and Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lawrence Road.
Eid congregational prayers were also offered across major parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including provincial capital Peshawar. Eid was celebrated in many areas of the province yesterday also.
