A petition has been filed in Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court to declare recently passed contempt bill null and void.
The petition filed by Barrister Zafarullah stated that the new contempt bill was to protect prime minister in NRO implementation case, added that, the bill was totally against of the Constitution's spirit.
Meanwhile in an another petition filed in the apex appealed that seek list of the senators and MNAs from Chairman Senate and Speaker National Assembly who voted in favour of the bill. The petition stated to disqualify all members over their violation of the Constitution.
