Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has invited the opposition regarding an early appointment of chief election commissioner.
The PM said that he does not want politics of confrontation and clash.
He stated this while addressing the party leaders and workers.
Fair and transparent elections require that government and the opposition should agree on an independent election commissioner, he said.
He also stressed for promoting politics of reconciliation and to abstain from the traditional leg pulling.
The PM said that his government wishes to resolve all national issues and matters with the aid of all the political parties. Saying that one another's mandate should be respected for the strengthening of democracy the PM said that he rejects clash between institutions and political parties.
Democracy is the solution of all problems including terrorism and poverty, he added.
He also said that the Punjab Government is as dear to him as that of Sindh and other provinces.
He called bringing power crisis under control his top priority.
