At least four gangsters of Lyari including a most wanted Shahzad Charlie were killed in a firing incident in Maripur on Sunday.

According to reports, unknown armed motorcyclists opened indiscriminate firing at hideout of Charlie in Musharaf Colony of Maripur. As a result, four gangsters of Lyari among Charlie died on the spot while Charlie's son sustained injuries.
Police sources said that government had announced head- money of Rs3 lac for Shahzad Charlie. Charlie was nominated in several cases including attack on Kalri Police Station.
The souces said that Charlie was living in Musharraf Colony after some dispute with his aides.
Meanwhile, Charlie's injured son said that before the attack his father had a quarrel with someone. He said that after the scuffle, unidentified motorcyclists attacked on hos father.
