KARACHI: A known cleric Maulana Aslam Sheikhupuri amid two persons were killed and two security guards wounded on board a car which came under volley of fires opened by the target killers in Dhoraji area, Bahadurabad here, Geo News reported.
Police said that Maulana Aslam Sheikhupuri along with Muhammad Safreen and his two guards were on their way toward the national stadium, when unknown killers sprayed their car with bullets at Dhoraji, Bahadurabad and made good their escape leaving behind four seriously injured car riders.
The injured were immediately shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical aid, where Maulana Aslam Sheikhupuri and his associate Muhammad Safreen succumbed to their injuries.
Maulana Aslam Sheikhupuri was the prayer leader of Masjid-e-Tawabeen, while the wounded persons are security guards, whose condition is said to be out of danger.
Meanwhile in Orangi Town No. 10 unknown gunmen opened fire on a husband and wife riding on a motorcycle. Thirty year old Imran was killed while his wife was injured in the attack.
