Govt decides to wind up Thar Coal project

 Federal government has decided to wind up Thar Coal project, whereas head of the project Dr Samar Mubarakmand said that the project could be successful if govt provides money.

Director Energy of the Planning Commission Shahid Sattar while speaking to Energy Conference said that audit to Thar Coal project has been completed, and according to which funds of the projects has been stopped.

He said that government has decided to shut down the project, added that, according to the audit, the project has failed. He said that Thar Coal project provided gas light for a few time and then smother.

Meanwhile, Dr Samar said that the project would have to provide electricity Rs4 per unit. He added that if the government would provide funds then we would produce electricity.

He said that they generated electricity till four months, but the project has been winding up owing to the suspension of government funds. All television channels aired the electricity generation process, he added.

Dr Samar further said that those who declared the project failed could not visited the project ever.
