Former British premier and United Nations' special representative for Education Gordan Brown has said that Pakistan's federal and provincial governments were determinant to allocate a huge amount education. He added that President Asif Ali Zardari also assured to double education budget.
Addressing a press conference along with Federal Minister for Scientific Education Sheikh Waqas Akram in Islamabad on Saturday, he said that Pakistani ministers assured equal educational opportunities. The ministers also assured good treatment with more than 3 million girls who did not go schools.
The former UK premier said that more than 100 countries marking International Malala Day today, and Malala was a big of for girls across the world who did not go schools. He said that wherever he went, he only got one message that they all were with Malala.
Brown also appreciated Pakistan's efforts to set up Malala Postgraduate Institute. He said that he also talked with injured fellows of Malala and praised them with good wishes.
