Looks like the gorgeous mummy Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to make a comeback with ace director Mani Ratnama's onscreen adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier's famous 1938 novel Rebecca.
Sources say that the director offered her to play the lead role and she gave her nod. Aishwarya Rai and Mani Ratnam go back a long back. Though Shankar's Jeans is widely known as her debut flick, it was Ratnam who signed her first in his political drama Iruvar in 1997. Later the duo worked together in Guru and Raavan.
