Former federal minister Babar Awan has filed an intra-court appeal against the framing of charges at the Supreme Court.
The appeal takes the plea that a two-member bench decided to frame charges despite the rendering of an unconditional apology which is against judicial norm.
Rendering an unconditional apology no more leaves room for framing charges, it said.
The appeal pleads to declare the decision of the two-member bench null and void and also that sincerity of Babar's apology be also be decided by a larger bench.
In another miscelleneous application Babar Awan pleaded the court to hear the Bhutto reference case on May 11.
The application says that the above case is pending hearing in the court and that his lawyer's license is temporarily suspended. If the court does not hear the case on May 11 it could cause an irreparable damage to him and his clients and staff, it added.
