PM inquires about Altaf health

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf made a telephonic contact with MQM chief Altaf Hussain and inquired about his health condition.

The MQM chief thanked PM Ashraf and told him that he was feeling well now.

Both the leader also discussed ongoing political situation in the country including law and order situation and caretaker setup.

PM told Hussain that he would soon write a letter to Opposition leader Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan regarding caretaker setup. He added that all government allies would be taken into confidence over the issue.

PM Ashraf further said that upcoming general elections would be rig free and transparent, added that, all possible measures would be taken to make the polls fair.

The MQM chief said that all political parties also wish that free and fair polls should be held in the country so that anyone could not raise finger over its transparency.

Hussain also raised the issue of target killing and law and order situation in the country. He demanded the premier to increase the quantity of police force and also equipped them with modern weapons.

PM Ashraf agreed with Hussain's suggestion and reiterated the government's vow.
