At least 64 persons have been killed in a powerful blast in Quetta on Saturday, police and rescue sources said. Some 180 including women and children are also among the injured.
According to report, the powerful blast, which heard in almost all the city, was took place in a grocery market located Kirani Road near a bazaar.
Kirani Road is the adjacent area of Quetta where Hazara Community is majority.
DIG Operations Quetta Wazir Khan Nasir said that it was a remote controlled blast and the blast took place in Hazara majority area. He said that the explosive device was installed in a rickshaw.
The injured were shifted to Bolan Medical Complex, Combined Medical Hospital Quetta and Civil Hospital Quetta.
Security forces said that it could not say anything what kind of blast it was, but it could judge that more than 100 kilograms of detonated explosive was used in the blast.
Sources in CMH Hospital said that 11 bodies and 113 injured of the blast were brought to the hospital.
Medical emergency has been declared in all the government hospitals.
Security forces cordoned off the area and started collecting evidence to identify the intensity of the blast.
All roads link to the spot have been blocked for media persons and general public.
Rescues sources said that death toll may increased as over 20 people were injured in the blast.
Strongly condemned the blast, Majlis Wahdatul Muslameen and Tahaffuz Azadari Council have given strike call on Sunday, while different shittie organisations have called for three to seven days mourn in the country
