Police raided Jehangir Badar's room at the Punjab House against which strong protest was staged in the Senate.
Raza Rabbani has termed the raid on Jehangir Badar's residence an act of state terrorism. The state institutions are left to do whatever they like and this is the continuation of campaign against the politicians, he added.
Jehangir Badar strongly protested the raid as the Senate session begun saying that it violated the sanctity of the House. I reserve the right to take legal action, he said adding that if any of his relative has committed a crime he should be arrested and that he don't give shelter to any absconder.
Other members of the Senate including Ishaq Dar, Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi and Tahir Mashadi also demanded an investigation into the incident. They asked Chairman Senate to call federal Interior Minister into the House and be directed to submit a complete report.
Chairman Senate has directed Interior Ministry to submit detailed report about the incident.
