South Africa set Australia 147 for victory

South Africa has set Australia 147 for victory in the Super 8 match played out R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

Australia, which won the toss elected to field, has managed to restrict South Africa to - runs in the 20 allocated overs.

South Africa lost three wickets quickly at the score of 0, 8 and 33 runs by 5.5 overs. The first to go was opener Levi who was bowled by Dpherty for collective and individual score of zero. One-down Jacques Kallis went next at the collective score of 8 and individual score of 6. on the fifth ball of the sixth over Hashim Amla was gone at 17 runs and collective score of 22.

South Africa's next two wickets- Duminy and AB de Villiers were gone when the team score was 64 and 86. They scored 30 and 21 runs respectively.

Farhan Behardien and Peterson manged to steer to South Africa to a somewhat restectable score of 146 without any further loss.

Australia would now be chasing a 147 run target to win the Super 8.

Xavier Doherty took 3 and Shane Watson bagged 2 wickets for Australia.
