Abdul Haq, the correspondent of ARY NEWS who was martyred in Khuzdar has been laid to rest at Township graveyard. His funeral prayer was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life including political and social figures, lawyers, journalists and ordinary citizens.
Associations of journalists in Balochistan have announced 20-day mourning against the killing of Abdul Haq who was shot dead by unknown persons while going home from Press Club yesterday. Journalists in Khuzdar have limited their activities amidst threat to their lives.
Abdul Haq had been associated with the ARY NEWS for a long time. He has left behind a widow and 2 children.
Chief Executive of ARY Salman Iqbal, Chiarman ARY Haji Iqbal, Vice Chairman Haji Abdur Rauf, ARY's news team and management have expressed deep grief and sorrow at the killing of a colleague.
CM Balochistan taking notice of the killing has directed IG Balochistan to ensure that Abdul Haq's murderers are arrested and brought to the book.
