ARY NEWS has received the list and details of assets of the rich parliamentarians of a poor country according to which Noor Alam is the wealthiest member of the National Assembly.
The collective value of the assets of the richest legislator of the heavily indebted country, Noor Alam Khan totals Rs 3.2 billion.
Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani assets total Rs 20.6 million. This include Rs 6.8 million worth of house; Rs 3.8 million worth of agricultural land and 9 million 24 thousand and 637 rupees in bank.
Chief Minister Punjab owns Rs 210 million of assets and owns a car which was gifted to him.
ANP's chief Asfand Yar Wali surprisingly owns a house worth just Rs 300,000. He also owns 67 acres of agricultural land worth Rs 20.05 million; Rs 2.5 million worth of jewellery and Rs 1.4 million in bank.
Chief of JUI Maulana Fazlur Rahman owns a house in Paharpur the value of which is put at Rs one million. He also owns Rs 2 million house in Shorekot, owns 5 kanal land in Dera Ismail Khan, Rs 550,000 worth of jewellery and Rs 940,000 in bank.
Former minister for water and power and current fderal minister without a portfolio, Raja Pervez Ashraf owns Rs 40 million house and a Rs 150 million shop in Islamabad. He also owns Rs 7 million plot; Rs 10 million of agricultural land; a car valued at Rs 1.8 million; Rs 400,000 of gold jewellery; Rs 250,000 value furniture and Rs 2 million in his bank account. He was given Rs 8 million by his brother.
Aftab Sherpao's assets include market worth Rs 8.5 million; Rs 12.5 million farm house; Rs 3.5 million car and Rs 4.7585 million in bank. Thus, the collective worth of assets in Pakistan adds up to Rs 261.8 million; Rs 188.7 million worth of agricultural land; Rs 51.5 million property in rural areas; shares worth Rs 800,000; Rs 300,000 worth of agricultural land in Gwadar. The Land Cruiser under his use was gifted to him while he owns a Suzuki Alto and a Honda Civic.
