Explosion near Turkey's ruling party headquarters injures five

ISTANBUL: An explosion in a vehicle near Turkey's ruling AK party's Istanbul headquarters injured five police officers, CNNTurk television reported.

"There are injured people, many ambulances are coming here after the explosion," said an eyewitness on telephone.

"It was a very strong explosion like an earthquake," said an eyewitness on CNNTurk television. (Reuters)
